Recovery Rate
Recovery Rate is what happens after the hard part, not during it.
Two people spend the same demanding day. One is back to baseline by morning; the other starts the next day already partway down. This dial decides whether rest truly restores you or just pauses the drain.
The range
- Lower
- Rest pauses further loss without fully restoring, so each new demand begins from a little more debt. Depletion quietly accumulates and lowers the baseline everything else runs from.
- Higher
- Sleep and downtime reliably return you to baseline, which makes demanding cycles survivable. The cost is under-noticing real depletion, since fast recovery can hide how much you actually needed to rest.
What it is not
- Not your supply
- Recovery Rate is the refill curve after depletion. Energy Pool is how the supply holds and distributes while life is ongoing. One rebuilds, the other manages the spend.
I rested all weekend and still started Monday tired. I was resting without ever resetting.
