Pattern Pull

Pattern Pull is not how good your conclusions are. It is how low the bar sits for something to feel like a pattern at all.

It works as a threshold on interpretation: does this ambiguous material exhibit meaningful regularity, or is it noise? The detection is largely automatic and runs in parallel with deliberate reasoning, and whatever crosses the threshold becomes the raw material the rest of your thinking treats as signal.

The range

Lower
Structure does not emerge easily from ambiguous material; the system stays literal and surface-bound, so real regularities may go unnoticed until they are obvious and early intuitive signal detection suffers. In exchange, false positives are rare and interpretation stays cautious and evidence-grounded.
Higher
Pattern emerges quickly and vividly from sparse material, revealing genuine structure others miss, which is a real analytical advantage. The cost is that the threshold can fall too low: coincidences start to feel meaningful, the first detected pattern can lock in as the lens for everything after it, and the felt vividness of a pattern stays strong even when its accuracy is poor.

It depends

Ambiguity and interest
Sparse, ambiguous environments and topics you are genuinely engaged with amplify detection; low engagement and very clear-cut information quiet it.
Expertise and stress
Deep familiarity with a domain makes detection faster and more accurate, while anxious or high-stress states selectively amplify threat-shaped patterns in ambiguous situations.

Your baseline sensitivity is the architecture; how much everything seems connected today is the state.

What it is not

Not Synthesis
Pattern Pull notices candidate structure; Synthesis assembles elements into a coherent framework once they are available. One detects, the other builds, and they can sit at very different levels in the same person.
Not perceptual salience
This dial operates on interpretation, on what events, behaviors, and data are treated as meaningful structure. What visual or sensory regularities stand out is a separate, perceptual-level trait.

These are all instances of the same underlying structure.
