Meaning Weave is not what your mind contains. It is how far a single word travels once it lands.

A cue wakes its neighbors in meaning-space, those wake theirs, and the chain runs until it fades or something gates it. The spread is largely automatic; it does not wait for permission and is hard to suppress by effort alone.

The range

Lower
Activation stays close to the original meaning unless you deliberately push outward. That is a real strength for staying on thread and for communication that needs to be linear and on prompt. The cost is that metaphor, verbal play, and multi-angle thinking take conscious effort instead of arriving on their own.
Higher
One concept opens a broad field of related meaning fast and automatically, feeding metaphor, symbolic reach, and seeing a thing from many angles at once. The cost is drift: the field is wider than you can use, and the original thread gets crowded by the many valid paths branching away from it.

Cue density
Language-dense, symbol-rich environments trigger more spread; simpler, quieter workspaces trigger less.
Interest
Topics you love are pre-warmed, so activation races through them; unfamiliar territory spreads more slowly.
Fatigue and load
A tired mind or one already carrying heavy working demands spreads less, whatever the baseline.
Mood
Positive affect widens the reach; anxious arousal channels the same spread toward threat-flavored meaning.

What it is not

Not Idea Web
Idea Web is the density and variety of the network itself. Meaning Weave is how readily activation travels through it. A network can be rich but slow to light up, or light up broadly without being especially deep.
Not idea rate
The weave expands what is already active around an existing concept. Generating fresh, distinct ideas is a different dial; one spreads what is present, the other adds new items.
